The SHEIN Free Trial Center gives eligible account holders a way to request products featured in selected testing campaigns. Sending an application is not the same as receiving an item, however. Every request must first pass through the program’s selection process.

Explore Product Categories

Images illustrate different merchandise categories and do not confirm current trial availability.
Applications are subject to selection and are never automatically approved.

Taking part involves more than identifying something you would like to try. Applicants must provide accurate shipping information, monitor the outcome of their requests and, if chosen, complete the product evaluation according to the applicable instructions.

Knowing what to expect before you begin can make the experience easier to manage. It also helps you recognize important account notifications, prepare the required information and understand the responsibilities that come with an approved trial.

UNDERSTAND THE STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS
1

Find the Free Trial area in your account

Begin by signing in through the official SHEIN app or website. From your account profile, look under More Services for the Free Trial Center. Some app versions may organize this feature under additional service menus. Once inside, you can browse the merchandise currently included in the testing program. The displayed selection depends on which campaigns are active.

2

Review your options before requesting an item

Participants may submit requests for a maximum of three products during a weekly cycle. Any unused opportunities expire rather than accumulating for future weeks. Before confirming a selection, examine its product specifications, available sizes and other relevant details. Your shipping destination must also correspond to the country or region associated with the SHEIN store you are accessing. Check everything carefully, since changes may not be possible once a trial order has been created.

3

Look for updates on your submitted requests

Once your application has been recorded, its progress can be viewed through My Free Trial or My Applications. Decisions generally take approximately one week, although processing may vary. A request marked Approved indicates that you were chosen for that particular item. A Failed result means the application was unsuccessful in that round. You can return to this section to review your previous submissions and their outcomes.

SHEIN application history and trial selection status

Use your application history to distinguish pending requests from completed decisions.

4

Examine the product and document your experience

If your request is successful, SHEIN arranges shipment of the selected merchandise. After delivery, spend time assessing the item before preparing your feedback. Consider whether its construction, fit, fabric, appearance and practical performance match the product description. Your report should reflect what you personally observed, supported by original photographs. The program requires the review to be submitted within 10 days of receiving the product, so keep track of the delivery date.

5

See the outcome of your product feedback

Your responsibilities do not end when the written evaluation is uploaded. Return to the My Report section to learn whether your submission satisfies the program’s standards. A qualifying review can receive 20 SHEIN Points. Feedback recognized as a Quality Review may earn an additional 100 points. These points reward eligible review submissions; they do not provide preferential selection or assure acceptance into another trial.

6

Update your submission if revisions are permitted

A report that does not meet the review guidelines may need further work. When the system provides a Rewrite option, participants can use that opportunity to improve their original submission. This might involve explaining the product’s characteristics more clearly, supplying missing information or uploading better photographs. Any additional submission must follow the instructions displayed in the account, and another review opportunity is not guaranteed in every situation.

SHEIN report correction and resubmission feature

If a revision feature appears, follow its instructions to correct and resubmit your feedback.

How does a product request become a completed trial?

Every testing opportunity begins with an available listing. Participants browse the current selection and decide which items match their interests and needs. Since campaigns are refreshed periodically, there is no expectation that a particular product will remain listed from one week to another.

After an item is requested, the application enters the selection stage. The program evaluates participation through its established process, which may include randomized selection and account-integrity considerations. At this point, an application remains only a request, not an order confirmation or a promise of shipment.

For successful applicants, the next stage involves receiving the selected merchandise at the address registered with the account. The participant can then examine the item in person, compare its features with the advertised description and gather observations for the required evaluation.

Completing the experience means submitting the requested feedback and photographs through the appropriate account section. The report must comply with the program’s guidelines, including content standards and deadlines. Providing a meaningful evaluation is an essential condition of participation for those selected to receive a trial item.

What kinds of merchandise might appear?

The available selection is determined by the campaigns offered at a given time. Depending on the listings, shoppers may encounter items from several merchandise groups, although no specific category or product is guaranteed to be included.

  • Everyday fashion: casual shirts, dresses, denim, outerwear, activewear and seasonal clothing collections.
  • Cosmetics and personal care: beauty accessories, makeup products, skincare essentials and related personal care items.
  • Style accessories: handbags, footwear, jewelry, wearable accessories and products designed to complement different outfits.
  • Household essentials: home accessories, storage solutions, decorative objects and practical items for everyday living.

Other merchandise types may also appear as part of the broader product catalog. However, the presence of an item in SHEIN’s regular store does not automatically mean it is offered through the Free Trial Center.

An unsuccessful application today does not determine the outcome of every future opportunity.

Before joining another campaign, make sure your account information is accurate and your selections reflect the available requirements.

SEE HOW TO PARTICIPATE

How can you prepare a useful product evaluation?

An effective review provides information that another shopper could use when considering the same item. Rather than relying on broad statements, focus on specific observations supported by your personal experience.

• Describe how the product performed in ordinary use, identifying both its advantages and any noticeable limitations.

• Discuss relevant characteristics, including measurements, texture, materials, construction and fit.

• Photograph the actual product in clear lighting, using different views to illustrate the details you mention. For clothing, follow the program’s requirements for full-length and close-up images.

• Explain any differences between the online presentation and the item you received, keeping the description accurate and balanced.

Points for eligible feedback: A report meeting the standard review requirements can qualify for 20 SHEIN Points. If it also receives the program’s Quality Review designation, an additional 100 points may be awarded under the applicable rules.

Common issues worth avoiding

Small oversights can complicate an application or prevent a submitted review from meeting the required standards. Pay particular attention to the following situations:

❌ Leaving outdated contact details or incomplete information in your user profile.

❌ Attempting to use a shipping destination outside the country supported by the selected store.

❌ Requesting an item before verifying the available size, color or other product specifications.

❌ Submitting generic comments that fail to explain the product’s actual characteristics or performance.

❌ Providing photographs that are unclear, incomplete, copied or unrelated to the item received.

❌ Allowing the 10-day review submission period to pass without completing the required report.

❌ Overlooking instructions for correcting an unsuccessful report when an additional submission is permitted.

❌ Creating misleading reviews, using false account information or attempting to bypass participation restrictions.

Essential rules to understand before applying

• Eligible account holders must be at least 18 years old to participate in the U.S. program.

• Each weekly period allows up to three trial applications. Unused requests cannot be saved for a later week.

• The mailing address must be compatible with the country associated with the account’s selected store.

• Approved trial items are shipped under the program’s terms. Participants may still be responsible for applicable customs duties or other destination-specific charges.

• Selected participants must provide an original product evaluation, normally within 10 days following delivery.

• Additional editing opportunities for unsuccessful reviews are subject to the platform’s instructions and approval.

• Misrepresenting information, submitting copied material or manipulating accounts can result in penalties, including exclusion from the program.

• Being selected involves responsibilities beyond receiving the item, including completing an accurate report that follows the stated requirements.

Questions about SHEIN product trials

Do I need to purchase anything to request a trial?

There is no product purchase required merely to submit an application through the official Free Trial Center. Receiving an item remains dependent on selection, and relevant program conditions still apply.

Can I apply for several different products?

The program currently permits a maximum of three requests in a single week. These opportunities reset according to the program’s weekly schedule rather than being added to future allowances.

Can I submit another request after an unsuccessful result?

Yes, provided your account remains eligible and you have available application opportunities. Not being selected for one product does not automatically prevent you from entering later campaigns.

What should I do when my review needs changes?

Open your report history and look for any available correction instructions. If the platform offers a Rewrite or resubmission feature, update the necessary details and upload the revised material as directed.
